Who do you naturally want to cooperate with? People who you feel connected to and are "on your side." We are drawn to the people that feel good and comfortable, and resistant to the people who feel hostile and don't like us. The same goes for our children! As parents, it is essential that we consciously take steps daily to CONNECT with our kids.

CONNECTION IDEA - Quality Time in 4 Steps
1) Identify a Time and Name it:
"Magnificent Myles Time" is happening at 4:00 today!
2) Guard & Prioritize the Time:
Consider setting a timer (even 15 minutes) and getting siblings settled with a different activity.
3) Be Present:
Leave the devices in another room and show with your face and body the JOY and LOVE you have for this time with your child. Take turns choosing what to do during your special time.
4) End With Connection:
Express gratitude for the time you had with your child and reflect on the fun. Consider a physical connection and a word about how you look forward to. the next time.
Enjoy your next session of Quality Time with your child and come back for more tips on how CONNECTION is the Key to Cooperation.
